Zephaniah 1
"The great day of YHVH is near, near and hastening fast; the sound of the day of

and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet blast and battle
cry against the fortified cities and against the lofty battlements. I will bring
distress on men, so that they shall walk like the blind, because they have
sinned against YHVH; their blood shall be poured out like dust, and their flesh
like dung. Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on
the day of the wrath of YHVH. but the whole earth shall be devoured by the fire
of His jealousy; for He will make and end, yea, a terrible end, of all them that
dwell in the earth.."
Zephaniah 3:8-20
"Therefore wait for me,' says YHVH, 'for the day when I arise as a witness. For
my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my
indignation, all the heat of my anger; for in the fire of my jealous wrath all
the earth shall be consumed. 'Yea, at that time I will change the speech of the
peoples to a pure speech, that all of them may call on the name of YHVH and
serve him with one accord. From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, the
daughter of my dispersed ones, shall bring my offering. 'On that day you shall
not be put to shame because of the deeds by which you have rebelled against me;
for then I will remove from your midst your proudly exultant ones, and you shall
no longer be haughty in my holy mountain. For I will leave in the midst of you a
people humble and lowly. They shall seek refuge in the name of YHVH, those who
are left in Yisrayl; they shall do no wrong and utter no lies, nor shall there
be found in their mouth a deceitful tongue. For they shall pasture and lie down,
and none shall make them afraid.'
"Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Yisrayl! Rejoice and exult with all
your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! YHVH has taken away the judgments against
you, he has cast out your enemies. The King of Yisrayl, YHVH, is in your midst;
you shall fear evil no more. On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: 'Do not
fear, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak. YHVH, your Father, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will
renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing as on a day of
festival. 'I will remove disaster from you, so that you will not bear reproach
for it. Behold, at that time I will deal with all your oppressors. And I will
save the lame and gather the outcast, and I will change their shame into praise
and renown in all the earth. At that time I will bring you home, at the time
when I gather you together; yea, I will make you renowned and praised among all
the peoples of the earth, when I restore your fortunes before your eyes,' says
YHVH."
Joel 2:30-31,32
"And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and
pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into
blood, before the great and terrible day of YHVH come. And it shall come to
pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of YHVH shall be delivered: for in
mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as YHVH hath said, and in the
remnant whom YHVH shall call.
Joel 3
"1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the
captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of
Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage
Yisrayl, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and
sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of
Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and
speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head; 5 Because ye have
taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly
pleasant things: 6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have
ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border. 7
Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will
return your recompence upon your own head: 8 And I will sell your sons and your
daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to
the Sabeans, to a people far off: for YHVH hath spoken it.
9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let
all the men of war draw near; let them come up:
10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the
weak say, I am strong.
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together
round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O YHVH.
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for
there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the
press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of YHVH is near
in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their
shining.
16 YHVH also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the
heavens and the earth shall shake: but YHVH will be the hope of his people, and
the strength of the children of Yisrayl.
17 So shall ye know that I am YHVH your Father dwelling in Zion, my holy
mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass
through her any more.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new
wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow
with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of YHVH, and shall
water the valley of Shittim.
19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the
violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in
their land.
20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for YHVH dwelleth in
Zion. "
Zechariah 14:12
"And this shall be the plague wherewith YHVH will smite all the people that have
fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon
their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue
shall consume away in their mouth."

the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like
blood;and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe
figs when shaken by a great wind."
